Paraguay has added new value added tax (VAT) exemptions for several goods and services. The newly exempted goods and services include:
- Petrol and bio fuels
- Cultural and sport supplies from not-for-profit organizations
- Electronic and printed books and newspapers
- Equipment and hardware for schools and universities
- Trading in shares and foreign currencies
- IT supplies for the benefit of children
Paraguay's standard rate of VAT is 10% and the reduced rate is 5%.
