On 24 April 2024, Paraguay's Chamber of Deputies (lower house of congress approved the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Spain. The Treaty, signed 25 March 2023, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force 90 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
