According to a release published on 12 August 2025 by the Paraguayan Information Agency, officials from Paraguay and the United Kingdom met to discuss a broad agenda of topics, including the advancement of signing an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
