Paris to Fine Airbnb for Users' Failure to Post Tax Information

According to recent reports, Paris is seeking to fine Airbnb for the failure of the platform's users to post required tax registration information with their listings. Under new rules approved at the end of November 2018, short-term rental platforms like Airbnb may be fined up to EUR 12,500 per listing that does not include the required information. The Paris authorities are claiming that 1,000 listings failed to meet the requirements and is seeking a total fine of EUR 12.5 million.
