Peru has published Supreme Decree No. 083-2022-EF, which regulates the input tax credit for the sale of basic foodstuffs temporarily exempted from VAT by Law No. 31452. As previously reported, the VAT exemption is provided to mitigate the impact of inflation with effect from 1 May 2022 until 31 July 2022.
