Peru and Singapore to Resume Tax Treaty Negotiations

Officials from Peru and Singapore reportedly met on 23 September 2021 to discuss bilateral cooperation and agreed on the need to resume negotiations for an income tax treaty. Negotiations first began in 2011, with treaty discussions most recently held in 2016. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and would need to be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
