According to a release from the Philippine Presidential Communications Office, the presidents of the Philippines and Palau met on 24 February 2025 and agreed to strengthen cooperation in maritime, labor, health, and education sectors, including through a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified.
