Poland Announces Proposed Changes for Personal Income Tax Relief

Poland's Ministry of Finance has announced proposed personal income tax changes to provide relief. These include:

  • An employment income tax exemption for individuals under the age of 26 if employment income does not exceed PLN 42,764 (exemption does not apply with respect to social security contributions);
  • An increase in the personal allowance for tax-deductible costs from PLN 1,335 to PLN 3,000; and
