On 29 October 2021, the Polish Senat (upper house of parliament) approved the law for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Belarus. The law was approved by the Polish Sejm (lower house) on 14 October 2021. The agreement, signed 13 February 2019, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
