Proposal for Council Implementing Decision Published to Extend Authorization of Romania's Increased VAT Exemption Threshold

A proposal for a Council Implementing Decision was published on 7 July 2020 that would extend the authorization for Romania to derogate from Article 287 of the VAT Directive by applying an increased VAT exemption threshold equivalent in national currency to EUR 88,500. Subject to approval, the Decision would authorize Romania to continue to apply its increased threshold until 31 December 2024.
