A proposal for a Council Implementing Decision was published on 9 July 2020 that would extend the authorization for Latvia to derogate from Article 287 of the VAT Directive by applying an increased VAT registration threshold of EUR 40,000. Subject to approval, the Decision would authorize Latvia to continue to apply this threshold until 31 December 2024.
