On 17 May 2013, a working group composed of representatives of the Swiss Confederation and the cantons presented a proposal for a revision of the corporate tax system (Corporate Tax Reform III; CTR III). The purpose of the revision is the strengthening of the Swiss economy and the settlement of a dispute with the European Union in tax matters.
