Proposed Tax Cuts for German SMEs and Partnerships

On 29 August 2019, Germany's Economy Minister Peter Altmaier announced proposed tax cuts for SMEs and partnerships. One of the main proposals is the introduction of a 25% corporate tax rate limit on reinvested profits for SMEs. Other proposals include a 45% tax limit for business partnerships, as well as a reduction in social security contribution costs to less than 40% through a reduction in unemployment insurance contributions.
