Protocol to treaty between New Zealand and Singapore approved

On 26 June 2006, New Zealand approved by Order in Council the protocol of 5 September 2005, amending the income tax treaty between  New Zealand and Singapore of 21 August 1973. The protocol is currently still awaiting approval in Singapore. Once in force, the protocol will apply to income derived on or after 1 January 2006.
