The 2009 protocol to the 1995 tax treaty between Belgium and Spain entered into force on 23 April 2018. The protocol, signed 2 December 2009, replaces Article 26 (Exchange of Information) to bring it in line with the OECD standard for information exchange and generally applies from 1 January 2019.
