The protocol to the 2006 tax treaty between India and Kuwait entered into force on 26 March 2018. The protocol, signed 15 January 2017, is the first to amend the treaty. It amends the taxes covered in respect of Kuwait and replaces Article 26 (Exchange of Information) to bring it in line with the OECD standard for information exchange. The protocol applies from the date of its entry into force.
