The amending protocol to the 1998 tax treaty between India and Portugal entered into force on 8 August 2018. The protocol, signed 23 June 2017, replaces Article 26 (Exchange of Information) to bring it in line with the OECD standard for information exchange and generally applies from the date of its entry into force.
