On 17 December 2013, the amending protocol, signed on 8 November 2011, to the Barbados - Canada Income and Capital Tax Treaty (1980), entered into force. The protocol generally applies from 17 December 2013 for the provisions on exchange of information and from 1 January 2014 for other taxes.
