On 1 September 2013, the amending protocol, signed on 23 June 2009, to the Belgium - Netherlands Income and Capital Tax Treaty (2001), will enter into force. The protocol generally applies from 1 January 2010 for withholding and other taxes and from 1 January 2008 for the income derived from a bank or other financial institution in case exchange of information was requested.
