On 13 December 2013, an amendment to the Research and Development Regulation (Regeling Research en Development Aftrek) was published in Official Gazette No. 34912. Under the amendment, the deduction for the development of innovative products (currently, 54% of the cost and expenditure for recognized R&D) will be increased to 60% for the period 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2014.
