The Malawi Revenue Authority has made available the tax measures for 2013/14. The tax measures are said to have been announced in a Budget Speech of 24 May 2013 made in Parliament by the Minister of Finance. According to the revenue authority, the VAT and income tax measures became effective on 1 July 2013, while the customs and excise measures became effective on the midnight of 24 May 2013.
