Egypt has announced that it has submitted a request to negotiate revisions to the tax agreement between it and the Council of Arab Economic Unity. The intent of the revisions is to promote Arab investment in Egypt, and to assist in tax collection and combat tax evasion through exchange of information.
Any revisions will be the first amendments to the agreement since it was originally signed December 3rd 1973.
