According to a release from Romania's Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity, officials from Romania and Tunisia met on 12 November 2024 to discuss bilateral cooperation, including the possibility of negotiating and social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
