On 13 October 2021, Romania's Chamber of Deputies (lower house of parliament) approved the ratification of the pending protocol to the 1997 income tax treaty with Israel. The protocol, signed 3 November 2020, is the first to amend the treaty and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
