The Russian government reportedly sent a notice to the Ukrainian government on 23 August 2022 to confirm the termination of the 1995 income and capital tax treaty between the two countries. As previously reported, Ukraine notified Russia of its decision to terminate the 1995 tax treaty in a letter dated 20 June 2022. The termination is effective from 1 January 2023 as per the terms of the treaty.
