Russia notified Latvia of its decision to terminate the 2010 income and capital tax treaty between the two countries as per Federal Law No 40-FZ of 28 February 2023 on 27 March 2023. Given that the notice of termination was given before the end of June 2023, the termination is effective from 1 January 2024 as per the terms of the treaty.
