The Russian Government announced on 22 May 2025 that it plans to extend the application of the 0% VAT rate on services for the provision of temporary accommodation in hotels and other accommodation facilities. The 0% VAT rate was introduced by Federal Law No. 67-FZ of 26 March 2022, which took effect on 1 July 2022 and is currently scheduled to expire after 30 June 2027. As proposed, the 0% VAT rate will be extended until the end of 2030.
