Russian Tax Reform Plans Include Abolishing Tax Consolidation, Transfer Pricing Control for Domestic Transactions, and Tax on Movable Property

According to recent reports, the Russian government approved reform legislation on 14 June 2018 that includes measures to:

  • Abolish the regime for Consolidated Tax Groups
  • Abolish transfer pricing control for domestic transactions, except for transactions in areas where reduced corporate tax rates apply, such as special economic zones; and
  • Abolish the tax on movable property.

The reform legislation also includes the previously reported increase in the standard VAT rate from 18% to 20%.
