On 24 July 2018, State Duma (lower house of parliament) approved the laws for the ratification of the protocol to the new income and capital tax treaty with Belgium and the new income tax income tax treaty with Japan.
The protocol, signed 30 January 2018 ({News-2018-02-01/T/5-previous coverage}), amends Article 13 (Capital Gains) of the new treaty with Belgium and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged.
