On 26 July 2023, Rwanda's Chamber of Deputies (lower house of parliament) approved the law for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with France. The treaty, signed 22 June 2023, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force the day after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
