On 1 October 2018, officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland signed a social security agreement. The agreement will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1962 social security agreement between Switzerland and the former Yugoslavia as it applies in respect of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland.
