On 18 May 2021, officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic signed a social security agreement. The agreement will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1957 agreement between the former Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia as it applies in respect of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic.
