The Finnish government has announced the start of negotiations for a social security agreement with Uruguay in March 2024. The next round of negotiations is scheduled to be held in the latter half of 2024. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
