On 20 November 2014, officials from Hungary and Macedonia signed a social security agreement (SSA). The agreement must be ratified before entering into force, and once in force and effective will replace the 1957 SSA between Hungary and the former Yugoslavia which currently applies in relations between Hungary and Macedonia.
