On 1 December 2023, Turkey published Presidential Decision No. 7898 in the Official Gazette, which concerns the dates certain agreements entered into force. This includes that the social security agreement with Iran entered into force on 1 May 2023. The agreement, signed 16 April 2016, is the first of its kind between the two countries and generally applies from the date of its entry into force.
