The social security agreement between Kosovo and Switzerland will enter into force on 1 September 2019. The agreement, signed 8 June 2018, is the first of its kind directly between the two countries and generally applies from the date of its entry into force.
Note - The 1962 agreement between Switzerland and the former Yugoslavia had applied in respect of Kosovo, but its application was terminated in 2010.
