On 17 September 2019, the Saudi Cabinet approved for ratification the pending income and capital tax treaty with Albania. The treaty, signed 6 February 2019 ({News-2019-07-24/T/2-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the second month after the month in which the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
