The Scottish Government announced the publication of the Scottish Budget for 2020 to 2021 on 6 February 2020. With respect to taxation, the income tax policy proposals for 2020 21 include adjustments in the first and second bands as follows:
- GBP 12,501 to 14,585 - 19% Starter Rate
- GBP 14,586 to 25,158 - 20% Scottish Basic Rate
- GBP 25,159 to 43,430 - 21% Intermediate Rate
- GBP 43,431 to 150,000 - 41% Higher Rate
- above GBP 150,000 - 46% Top Rate
