On 17 January 2018, Senegal's Council of Ministers approved the pending income and capital tax treaty with Luxembourg. The treaty, signed 10 February 2016, is the first of its kind between the two countries ({News-2016-02-25/T/5-previous coverage}). It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged, and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
