According to recent reports, officials from Senegal and Turkey met on 14 to 15 March 2022 to discuss bilateral relations and agreed to accelerate the ratification process for the pending income tax treaty between the two countries that was signed on 14 November 2015. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
