South Africa's Minister of Finance has issued a release on the tax measures being implemented to combat the COVID-19 lockdown. Three measures in particular are noted:

  • The introduction of a tax subsidy to employers of up to ZAR 500 per month for the next four months for those private sector employees earning below ZAR 6,500 under the Employment Tax Incentive;
