The South African Revenue Service published an updated status overview of all tax treaties and protocols dated 8 April 2020. This includes that South Africa has ratified the pending tax treaties with Gabon, Germany, and Sudan.
The treaties with Gabon and Sudan were signed on 22 March 2005 and 7 November 2007, respectively. The treaties are the first of their kind between South Africa and the respective countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged.
