The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has published an updated Guide to the Urban Development Zone Allowance (Issue 9), dated 17 January 2025. The UDZ incentive, first introduced in 2003, promotes investment in 16 UDZs in 15 inner cities through accelerated depreciation allowances for qualifying buildings.
