South Korea Looking to Negotiate Amending Protocol to Tax Treaty with Sri Lanka

Officials from South Korea and Sri Lanka met on 7 January 2022 to discuss bilateral relations, including South Korea's interest in negotiating an amending protocol to the 1984 tax treaty between the two countries to bring it in line with the latest OECD standards. Any resulting protocol would be the first to amend the treaty and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
