South Korea and Vietnam Continue SSA and Tax Treaty Protocol Negotiations

Officials from South Korea and Vietnam recently met to discuss the continued negotiation of a social security agreement and an amending protocol to the 1994 tax treaty between the two countries. Any resulting social security agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and any resulting protocol would be the first to amend the treaty. It is expected that negotiations for both will be completed by 2020.
