According to recent reports, the South Korea government is now imposing tax on cryptocurrency exchanges in the country. Tax is initially imposed at the corporate rate of 22% plus 10% local tax (24.2%) on the exchanges themselves for profits in 2017 in excess of KRW 20 billion.
