On 16 June 2022, South Korea's government announced its new economic policy proposals (direction). One of the main proposals is a reduction in the maximum corporate tax rate from 25% to 22%. Another important proposal is an increase in the offset for carried forward losses from 60% of taxable income to 80% of taxable income, reversing the reduction from 80% to 70% in 2018 and 60% in 2019.
