Spain has published in the Official Gazette the Resolution of 6 February 2020 from the Directorate General of Taxation concerning the characteristics that are considered in determining if a foreign entity is considered transparent (a look-through entity) for Spanish tax purposes. In general, this is the case if the characteristics of a foreign entity are consistent with transparent entities incorporated under Spanish law, although how this is determined was previously unclear.
