According to a release from the Ministry of Finance, the Spanish Council of Ministers approved a Royal Decree-Law on 25 June 2024 that provides for the extension of the VAT rate reduction for basic food products. Previously provided until 30 June 2024, the reduced rates are extended until 30 September 2024:
