Sri Lanka Inland Revenue has issued a notice to taxpayers on an extension of the deadline for VAT payments for the months of February and March 2020 to 30 April 2020. Accordingly, payments made on or before 30 April 2020 for the February and March periods shall be deemed as timely payments and any penalty auto imposed by the system on late payments will be waived. The deadline for VAT returns for February is also extended to 30 April 2020.
